This article is about Kate Sheppard’s life and her leadership in Women’s Suffrage, she made a Petition where more than 32,000 women signed it, and she held public meetings, wite to the newspapers and talked to the Members of Parliament, then after Kate Sheppard achieved her goal of women voting, she moved back to England the following year, with her husband. After a few years, she returned to New Zealand and helped to organize the National Council of women and campaigned for women to serve as Members Of Parliament. Since her death, she has received many honors within New Zealand buildings, streets, and neighborhoods, throughout New Zealand, are named after her and in 1991 her image was placed on the New Zealand $10 note.
