Te Whare Tapa Wha

Kia Ora, in my social sciences class for Mental Health Awareness Week, we have been talking about Te Whare Tapa Wha or wellbeing. Here is my work.

Physical wellbeing -  Taha Tinana - it is about your growth, how your body feels, how it moves, and how you take care of it. Some ways to take care of your physical wellbeing is are, eating healthy, exercising and sleeping alot.

mental & emotional wellbeing - Taha Hinengaro - Taha Hinengaro is your mind, heart, thoughts, and feelings, it's about how you feel, communicate, and how you think. When your Taha Hinengaro is strong, you can express your feelings and can reach out for support.

Spiritual wellbeing - Taha Wairua - This is who you are, where you have came from, and where you are going, spiritual wellbeing can be expressed through your beliefs, your tradition, and your values. Taha Wairua provides connections to your tradition, beliefs, whanau, community, and the nature and the sacred, and should go out somewhere that's special to you.

Family Wellbeing - Taha Whanau - it is about spending time with your whanau, doing things with and for them, you could take some photos and keep them as memories, go out on a special dinner as a family, and go on a family vacation.

aotearoa history show

hello, today in social sciences we were learning about the New Zealand wars and the treaty of waitangi, but today i am just going to post about the New Zealand wars.

heres my work (:

In 1862 Te Hua became a prophet, and saw a angel saying the Maori shall own the land

British soldiers were sent to guard the land so the Maori cannot get near the land

Some Maori thought that people were spying on them

Someone killed other 7 men

1860 some of the Europeans killed the Maori men

They were doing stuff in peace but they were wrong because someone wants to kill the Maori

The Maori were fighting with other Maori

1865 there was a war, and 3 - 4 hundred Pamarere were sent to the Chatham islands.

When he was in the Chatham islands he got sick

Te Tutu waru made a new religion Ringatu

1868 was a very scary year for the government

He was a military genius

Maori would set up heaps of pas for safety

Te kote was sent to the Chatham islands because they thought he was a spy

Te tutu warere said that he ate human flesh

They launched a midnight raid

Tk wanted revenge so he killed 60 people

Then the British attacked Tk’s pa and killed 120 of Tk's followers, but Tk did not get killed

Tk made apologies to the Maori and the chief

The British compensated the land of the Maori

3,000 people died in the revenge of the British

1872 the wars were finished

The wars broke the Maoris colonisation

In 1863 the land was legally confiscated from the real owner

Today we watched episode 6 part 2 of aotearoa history show about the new zealand wars. What happened was that maori and Europeans had wars. In 1862 Te Hua became a prophet, then he saw an angel saying the Maori shall own the land, then after that Te Hua then started thinking about it and thought that the angel was right.

Then when the queen had gotten a letter from Grey that had said that the maori had tried to take the land. Then the queen had sent british soldiers down to Auckland so they can guard Auckland from maori getting near it.

health changes

hello, today my hurumanu class learned about diabetes, what we had to do was get any food and discover it, we had to guess ho much sugar was in it and see if it was healthy. we also learned why ingredients are written in there ways.

I learned that the way ingredients are organised is by how much of the ingredient is in the food. like spaghetti, the top ingredient would be pasta.

what I am posting is my google drawing about what you should really eat.
here is my google drawing.
